I'm knocking on wood as I type this, you never know here in Michigan what the weather
holds in the next 24 hours, mid 50's & rain the past few days has the grass greening up,
the spring bulbs starting to open & the Geese starting to couple up.....
These photos are all taken out at the home of the Lady I take care of,
Their home is loving named "Carmalot" it's actually carved in the stone of the
large iron gate at the base of the drive....
the grounds of Carmalot are truly suffering with neglect, since she can no longer care for
the 5 acres that use to be filled with paths, gardens & beautiful vegetable gardens....
Still nature keeps forcing her way up out of the ground, at least the spring bulbs
come up before all the weeds....
the geese certainly did not like me walking around take photos, this is right next to their
very long drive-way...
when I was leaving last night about 9 o'clock, there had been a herd
{what do you call 8 Deer}
{what do you call 8 Deer}
feeding at the corn box which I'm sure it's empty today....
I'm joining in with Be Inspired Friday
make sure you head over to
Debra ~ Common Ground...
I'm sure you know her, Everyone knows Debra & her
Fabulous Common Ground....
Wishing you Sunshine, Warmth & Blossoms
to fill your homes...
Please let me know you've been here,
by leaving me a note...
Thanks,
xox
Lovely photos....thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pictures, Cheryl. It is looking like Spring in your area. Send a little this way, will ya? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHi, Cheryl
ReplyDeleteOh, what a lovely place to be caring for a Lady! Those brilliant blue flowers are amazing. Everything has already bloomed here, the fruit trees already bloomed and the orange trees are almost finished blooming in the valley with thousands of acres of pungent perfumed blossoms...not fun with allergies though! We need more rain for agriculture, but there is still snow on the mountains which will fill Kaweah Lake so the snow melt is still coming down from the mountains.
Hope you are doing well...I think of you often!
hugs,

Great images, Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteIt's still cold, and dreary here.
Hopefully Spring will arrive, and stay real soon!

The weather is all over the place here. Today was in the 80's and they call for snow on the weekend. Sigh. My flowers are at about the same stage as your lady's. I feel bad thinking about her lovingly tended 5 acres slipping into disarray.
ReplyDeleteI bet that is a lovely home. What are those blue flowers. They are so sweet. We have a pair of geese too that I am sure have a nest nearby. The Daddy guards the Mom while she feeds. Have a super weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what the blue flowers are, but they are so pretty.... I am waiting for her trilliums to come up, I will make sure I take photos of those too.
DeleteBeautiful flowers, your first picture is amazing...such a bright blue! I'm sooo glad it's spring, loving the warmer weather!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
What lovely pictures! I'm liking the projects I see on your blog..and you called me the Martha Stewart of Fairy Gardens....how could I not follow you via GFC! Happy to be here and looking forward to more!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of your commenters - those are some beautiful snaps! Love your merging bulbs too! Thank you so much for popping in to see me.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Such pretty pics! It's so nice to see a touch of spring-supposed to get cold here again :(

Just lovely! So sad that the grounds aren't being kept up... maybe good Samaritans will appear and help to tend them :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping over and leaving a comment on my laundry room makeover. You made me laugh!! (and I do have a step stool that wasn't shown in the shots)
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pictures Cheryl. Our weather is breaking here too. It's been so nice to be able to spend some time outside. It's been a long winter! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl, thanks for visiting me! Since you live in Michigan, you aren't too far from Canada, and the next time you go you should try kinder eggs! Yummy! They have little toys in them for kids but the chocolate is sooooo good! I think you have the kinder sticks in the USA so you can taste what I'm talking about.
ReplyDeleteThe grounds of this home are incredible! Its nice that even though it cannot be cared for, nature keeps pushing its beauty through!
Take care!
Hi Cheryl, I'm so glad you stopped by:) here I am to see you and I love these photos. I bet these grounds were magnificent at one time. I love how vibrant the spring blooms are against the remnants of fall and winter. Thanks so much for sharing!
