So Far in the middle of
January,
here in Michigan,
I have only had to shovel snow
once!
(and that was only 2")
Big change from last year,
when we had 32" of the stuff
on the Ground,
Believe Me,
I'm Not Complaining....
I'm getting to the age,
when I think
going South for the Winter,
would be,
My Cup of Tea~
I pulled out some of the
Old Snow photos
that I have from
My Grandma
Eagle Harbor, Michigan
1930's
My Great Grand Parents
Calumet, Michigan
1934
My Mom (center)
and her brothers
Laurium, Michigan
1935

I will probably never see snow like that. That is not seen here in the Deep South. Those are lovely images.
ReplyDeleteLove love your first scene...I don't think I've ever seen this much snow! Yes I'm a follower and would like to enter. Hugs, Loretta
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how many times we have been to Calumet! Many, many times and we eat in a little diner that is downtown. My hubby likes the rock shop there.
ReplyDeleteI have been house peeking in Larium, too. That is just a darling little town. It's a small world, isn't it? xo Diana
Wow! That pic of the house in the 1930s is unbelievable!! I live in a warm climate, so we never get snow. I was never a fan. Don't think I could live in that kind of place!! Wimp, I know. lol
ReplyDeleteCheryl those old photos are so cool. I love pictures like that! Hasn't this Winter been great so far? Ours is about to change though. A big storm is expected tonight. I'm off to dig out the snow shovel.
ReplyDeletehugs from here...
I love these old photos! It's the only snow I'm going to see most likely!
ReplyDeleteYour snow photos are wonderful!! Thank you so much for sharing them. The cabin photo is amazing. I could not imagine! I think I will stay in Texas;) Love, Jamie
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Those old photos are so cool Cheryl, The one of the house just makes me cold to look at it. We did complain a bit about no snow but now that we have even a little Max is outside sledding as soon as he gets off the bus! Stay warm, love your collections in todays post:)
