Hey Hey We're the Monkees

I was so sad to hear this morning
that singer
Davy Jones of
The Monkees
Died today of a Heart attack

I was in love with the Monkees
mostly Davy Jones

I loved the Music & the TV show
way back in the late 60's

I can just close my eyes & remember
listening and singing along,
most likely crying too....

One of My Favorites from way back when.....
I'm a Believer
I thought love was only true in fairy tales
Meant for someone else but not for me.
Love was out to get me
That's the way it seemed.
Disappointment haunted all my dreams.
Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer
Not a trace of doubt in my mind.
I'm in love, I'm a believer!
I couldn't leave her if I tried.
I thought love was more or less a given thing,
Seems the more I gave the less I got.
What's the use in tryin'?
All you get is pain.
When I needed sunshine I got rain.
Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer
Not a trace of doubt in my mind.
I'm in love, I'm a believer!
I couldn't leave her if I tried.

RIP

  1. That was the very first album I ever bought and I wore it out. I always watched the show and was madly in love with Peter Tork. Sigh. ~ Maureen
