  4. thanks for stopping by today. sometimes i don't get out much . my time is fixed by my little girl. i read your profile and giggling to myself . that was very cute . as for your post today, I always had a thing for lace, but never had any in sight, I guess that is why they are still so precious to me.

  5. I love the vintage spools! Your wedding dress must have been spectacular, judging from that last piece of lace. Perhaps, a photo of you in the dress might make a good WW post?? (Not to worry about it being dated..we all have pictures of us in the Seventies!)

  10. Hi Cheryl...Thanks for your sweet comments!

I love the brussels lace! I have many weaknesses and lace is one of them. It has that yummy quality that just forces me to have stacks of it.

Do you have any pics of your wedding dress?

  14. ahhh pretty lace!
I have been to Dearborn several times with my Daddy (back in the 70's) when he bought cars. We went to Dearborn Village and I have such happy memories! We ate at the Magic Pan crepe restaurant...is it still there? I think we went to a Farrell's ice cream parlor too...

  21. Hi Cheryl! I agree, one day we need to get together and have fun creating something together... or just go thrifting together! If you make it as far as Jackson, Marshall is not that far from there. My sister lives in Marshall and I am telling you, it is worth the drive, prettiest town with thriving antique stores, and a decent goodwill and really the most beautiful homes. Streets and streets of them! Big old mansions, lovely homes all just gorgeous. In the fall they have a scarecrow contest and home tour. Really cool place.
I love your lace, your dress must have been gorgeous! And really which one of us bloggers wouldn't love to get her hands on that vintage spool of thread!
Enjoy the rest of your week, Theresa

  23. Cheryl,
Thank you so much for stopping by my little blog. I'm so new I get very excited when I have a new comment but then when I see you are a follower that made my day.

Your lace is absolutely gorgeous, I agree I would like to see your wedding dress. I also have a thing for white thread spools and I don't even sew!

I enjoyed browsing around your blog. It takes a special person to care for people with alzheimers and I admire you for doing it.

    Thanks again,
    Elizabeth Ann
