  1. WOOHOOO Cheryl!!! THREE BUCKS???? You hit the big one there! GREAT find!!! Oh man, there are so many things you could do with it! OH I know what you could do with it....sell it to me for FOUR dollars!!!
    Just kidding... sorta....
Paint, paper, material, the list goes on and on! We're hot here too, so I'm staying inside!
    Blessings, Doni

  2. Sand it and paint it white! Don't forget the spray paint the little knobs! How sweet! Are you going to keep it or sell it- let me know if you are going to sell it!
    Hugs- Tete

  3. Have you got a good eye! I probably would have passed it up not seeing the potential. I love fixing things up like this. Since I'm into white so much lately, I'd be tempted to paint it white and then sand down the edges a little. You might even find some cool old knobs for it. How about painting some roses on it or using some vinatge decals.
    Have fun!

  4. At first I thought it read $300.00!! yikes!
so I went back and re-read...$3.00. Wow, you found a GREAT deal!
I'd sand it, and paint it white...but that's me.
Make sure to show us after you decide what to do with it.
    Have a great night!

  5. I'd go bold. A nice vibrant color with wallpaper lined drawers. Come on Cheryl, go for it. By the way, I just became a follower. Thanks for visiting my blog. You always leave such lovely compliments.

  6. Hey sweet girl!!! I love this! Paint it white and even the knobs!!! Scrub off just a tiny amount on the edges...and then show it to us again, OK?? I hope Jenny is doing so wonderful...and the baby is 8 mos old??? Good grief girl, how time flies by us!!!! Hope you are wonderful, stay cool dear friend, hugs and love, Dawn

  7. What a cool piece! Glad you could see beyond the fake wood! White goes with everything!

  8. I thought you said $300.00 LOL...and I thought-BOY they saw her coming. And then I went back and RE-read it was $3. Great find. Whassa matter? You don't like woodgrain contact paper? Seriously? And here I was just about to do all my bathroom walls with it!;>)

At first I thought it was big chest of drawers but now I see it is smaller. If you (or anyone you know) is into scrapbooking this would make a fabulous piece to store papers and scissors and all that stuff in. Love it. It would be pretty in white or even in a blue all distressed and lovely...or the drawers lined with beautiful paper and you could use it to hold hankies and lace...oh..loving it more by the minute!

Can't wait to see what you do with it! Hugs-Diana

  9. Wow!! great before and after pics! I love seeing these. Now, to get my projects started. Thanks for stopping by..
    xxoo Liz

  10. How wonderful~~~You go girl!!
    I love it :))

    Happy White Wednesday,

    Kay Ellen

  11. What a darling box! And a darling price! There are so many ways you could go with it. What's your favorite color?

  12. Great score! If it still has sticky on it from the contact paper then I would probably paint it just because I don't know how you would ever get rid of the sticky. How in the WORLD did you manage to coax off that contact paper????

  13. Gotta love contact paper!!! What a job tearing that stuff off. I am with everyone else, try to get the rest of the sticky off and paint away! That is a great find, just think of all of the treasures you can fill it with! Lets hope the weather man is right and we get the cooler temps they are calling for. Happy Thursday! t. oxoxo

  14. Thought I would fill you all in regarding the Stickiness of the contact paper, I think because it is in the mid 90's up here in my little place, the contact paper was soft enough to tear off, it actually came off easier than I thought.... I did give it one good wash with an all purpose cleaner, but still a bit tacky, will buy some vinegar and see if that works, before I paint~ still haven't decided if I will Keep or put in My Etsy Shop...... Hope to hit a few more yard sales tomorrow, if the weather cools a bit~

  15. Oooh I love this piece Cheryl! I agree with Dawn. It would be lovely painted!
You and Jenny probably had a wonderful time together. So happy for you!
    hugs from here...

  16. Sand that sticky off and paint away! Great find for $3. I love it!

  17. The finish and knobs look great the way they are. The unfinished drawers would look great with some pretty paper or vintage fabric or velvet. Yes, let us know if it ends up in your etsy store! Oh, the things I could store in there.....

Thank you for visiting... Have a Happy & Creative day ~ Cheryl
