From the Computer
Until, I get a Handle on
This Mess ~
Update:
Still Grounded Here, but making a big dent in the Mess ~ it is starting to look better....
I have moved several pieces of furniture, including my old sewing machine that
had been located in my bedroom, it is now in the front room, which will give me
alot more working room ~
Now back to Cleaning.....
I have given myself a deadline, Tuesday Night, my place has to be Photo ready
so look for the After pics With White Wednesday.....
{had to extend the date, my daughter brought me 6 bins full of stuff to add to my mess today}
I am Grounding Myself from the Computer
No More Excuses
There comes a time, when we must take Drastic Measures to get where We Need to be. . .
Now the Problem happens, when I was Too Tired each evening to Maintain My Home during this period....
to add Fuel to the Fire, I brought in Treasures from the Messy House, which = STUFF
Lots of Stuff, Box after Box of Stuff......
as you look at the photos from my previous post, you could see, there is alot
of wonderful Vintage, Creative, Stuff ~ Then Why,should I be complaining.....
These next photos tell the Story....
look what My Sweet Little Home has turned into
(these blurry pictures are Not for the Weak of Heart~ I am having a hard time looking & I'm living in this Mess)
So, Until I get a Handle on all this, some Organizing, start listing & selling some to reduce the Stuff,
I will be taking a short break from Blogging.....
I sure hope this Self Imposed Grounding, will be a Quick one ~
Because, I really go into Blogging Withdrawal after a very short period of time.....
Be Back Soon
Please keep your fingers crossed ~ this is Not going to be easy
* * * * * * * * * *
this just 2 weeks ago was my cleared off work table
The iron is no longer in it's place ~ the heater can't go back in it's place
& stuff in piles
My Storage - Supply room
bags full of Stuff just thrown in
so I would have room to walk in the rest of the place
Boxes & Bins of Fun Vintage Stuff
but what goode will they be, if this is the mess
they are left in.....
Off to Clean
Hope to See You All Soon
Oh Cheryl......You are so cute!!! You are right, the photos are not for the faint of heart! (O: (O:
ReplyDeleteYou'll get busy and have your place back in shape in no time.
Happy cleaning,
Jo
The business of "stuff" sometimes takes on a life of its own. Plus, since time seems to disappear like magic, it's pretty easy to have a small disaster on your hands! Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteTake care, Sue
Yep.
ReplyDeleteThat looks just like my house, and store, and garage, and.....
Good luck with it all. It does feel good to get some of it done.
What I am working on now myself.

Hi Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteYou are a strong woman, I really need to ground myself and get some work done, too. Blogging is just so addicting!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Anne
You are very smart to ground yourself! Me...not so smart!
ReplyDeleteThank's for stopping by. Have fun on the project of organizing all the stuff in the pic's..
ReplyDeleteWhen I cleaned out my parents' house, mine looked just like yours! Can you say 'Hoarders'? Soon we will all benefit by seeing what you create out of the stuff! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSo I don't have to tell you that that is nothing compared to my garage...eeek! Get your butt cleanin girl! My crew will be up there in no time and we want to fit it your house.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, Would it make you feel any better to know my house looks like that too? I'm overrun and apparently lacking in organizational skills because as soon as I can see a clean surface it starts to rebuild itself...lol.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you, I wish to you of all my focus since I'm not using it at the moment.
Angie
I feel your pain. I'm getting close to being where you are and I was just thinking about grounding myself from the computer also. I usually get in control when we are having someone over to our house so maybe I should give myself a birthday party next month so I will get my spring cleaning done. Anyway, good for you. I encourage you to go for it.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl~
ReplyDeleteI know you are sneaking a peak at the old blog! And I really, really enjoy coming to your page and seeing it blue!
Have fun cleaning, and stashing!!!
Hi Cheryl, good luck with sorting and organizing. I am in the same boat at the moment. The dust storms leave everything so dirty and grimy and once I start cleaning, I feel the need to rearrange and then I realize I have too much stuff and it gets on my nerves. My husband is always bring stuff home, any kinda stuff, even if it is only groceries. More stuff in means I have to find a place for it and that really gets to be overwhelming. I know exactly how you aer feeling. And you are definitely having so much to sort and purge. It'll be worth it once youg get through. Wishing you all the best, :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteI know that state of affairs all too well. Good luck on the big Cleanup!
