Where Bloggers Create & My Messy Studio

I sure had planned on really
having some Fabulous Photos,
All Neat, Clean
Very Organized

Then after 3 days this week of
having My Grands over for Crafting
and helping My Daughter
make a few Birthday gifts
for Her 1 year Old
God Twins
Birthday Party tomorrow,
{She Created the Cutest
Puppy Dogs for them, I sure wish
we would have taken Photos}
It Just wasn't Happening

These Messy, Un Organized Studio
Are What You Get....

I guess we can't all be perfect or On time,
My Studio is Well Used & Rarely Clean,
Full of Sun Light...

since it is just Me & My Cat, I guess it
doesn't matter if it is Messy

I didn't show a few corners, since I dumped
a bunch of "Stuff" that had been piled on
the Table...
you won't see too much of the carpet,
I guess I Forgot to Vacuum Too

[you can click on photos to enlarge]

inside the layers of this blue box
I have ribbons, thread & some
old scrap papers

I Love the colorful Threads,
I actually want to use the cones
for some Floral Tussie Mussie's
My Oldest Grand ~ She Loves
Creating with her Bubbie
Can you see Little Guy
kneeling on the table to the left,
he thought he was hiding
usually that cabinet is filled with
it is sitting in boxes waiting to be
put back in...
{maybe a good thing to do tomorrow}
Not a bad view

  1. The fact that you have a place to create in and can share the art of crafting with your grands is a wonderful thing. Looks like a terrific space for creativity and chaos. :) Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

  2. How wonderful to have a space like that-where you can just leave things out if you want to and not have to pick up and put away at the end of a crafting session.

And, guess what? Crafting with those grandkids is sooo much more important than having a showroom! Love it-and it is great that you have a bit of a view-lots of craft rooms don't have windows! xo Diana

  3. You have a great space and how wonderful to share your passions with the grands. I love that you have so much storage and especially like the metal box and spools. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Cheryl, it looks like a wonderful place to play! That table is great and your Grandmother's dresser, too. Don't appologize for a "working" art room - that's what it's all about, after all.

  5. Love it all, Cheryl. Love the idea of leaving things out for the grands. I use a separate room for that and it's FAB!

    Blessings as you create~

  6. Hello!
I started at the bottom and I am working my way up!!
If your craft room wasn't messy then think of all the memories that you just made in there with you grands that would be missing, right?
Creative spaces are made to be worked in right?/
I actually have the cones without the thread on them that i make Tussie Mussies out of. My Hubby used to work in a Silk mill and they still save all the cones for him!!
Love your music!! My word for 2011 is HAPPY!!

Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed my visit here!!

  7. Thanks bunches for stopping by my studio and visiting with me and Nevermore! I love your well loved and well used creative space. I spy drawers and drawers full of lovely supplies... and remember, vacuuming is over-rated LOL

  8. I just love the fact that you do crafts with your grandchildren....and they love glitter!!! Hahaa....I really enjoyed that post. Isn't it wonderful to be able to do stuff with them? You have lots of neat goodies and interesting stuff hiding here and there...hmmmm....looks great!
    Margaret B

  9. Looks like the best place to play! No wonder your grandbabies are there so much! It's like a crafter wonderland...rest up, you deserve it.

  10. Started with the A's then I thought I would jump down to the Z's...cool space...I agree with the legs on the table.
    TFS your creative space!

  11. A woman after my own heart.....just shove the stuff out of the way and take the picture. : ) Who's to know!
I LOVE the legs of the table too!!!

  12. Hi Cheryl, Your space is soooo comfy! It makes me want to come over and so some crafting!LOL! I love crafting with the grands too! I have Sophie & Olivia. My fav is that blue table with the cute legs. I like to keep all my stuff out too, that way we can craft whenever we want! Ta da! Thank you for visiting my blog too. Tomorrow I'm going to the Long Beach Flea! it's a good one!! So long.

  13. It looks like you have a lot of fun in there! And crafting with your grandkids, what beautiful memories you are creating for them!

    ~ Violet

  14. Cheryl, I started at the bottom on Thursday, before you had your post up. I've gotten a few post saying they started at the bottom as well, too funny! So I came back, us Z's have to stick together! I remember the post about your turquoise table. Love all the color in your space. Are you going to make the tussie's with the thread on or off the spools? Beautiful colors!

  15. And this is exactly how a studio is supposed to look Cheryl! You should see mine right now.
So this is where you create all your pretty things?
I have to tell you how much I loved the mud day at the park! I'm not sure sure you could have got me in there, but I sure loved seeing all of you in it.LOL!
    sending hugs...

  16. Wow, how fun is your space!! I love how you honor your family. You are amazing and a true blessing to your family!!
Keep up the great creating and sharing!!

  17. Good afternoon, Cheryl,
You are so lucky to have the grandchildren close so they can come and create with you. I love the large work table in your studio...big enough for everyone to gather around. Besides, spending quality time with the grands is always priority. thanks for sharing your wonderful space and for stopping by my blog as well.

  24. The room where I create is rarely/never perfect or clean -- I think yours looks pretty organized! That little black cabinet is darling -- as long as it's empty, why not wrap it up and send it over? :-) Thanks for sharing your creative space.

Thanks for stopping by to vist me also - sorry I am late to the party!

  28. I, for one, don't care how tidy a creative space is-it's what you do with it that counts and you certainly are making sweet memories! Love the black cabinet and your table! The picture of your grandson cracks me up! :) devon

And lucky you to have grands to play with...I'm still waiting for some, but I know they're going to love my treasures when they finally get here...LOL!

  32. Great vintage space you've created for yourself! Thanks for the tour of your space, it's beautiful.

  33. Hi Cheryl! We don't need to see it clean to think it's perfect!! A messy studio is beautiful because that means it's being used to create beautiful things!! Thank you so much for joining the party this year!!

  34. Your studio is not messy. It is just worked in. I love your shot looking down at all the drawers opened, and I very much enjoyed my visit here. Have a nice day.
